The Foxboro Model PC20 Intelligent Field Device
Configurator is a software package providing remote bi-directional communications with
Foxboro and Foxboro Eckardt Intelligent field devices with FoxCom or HART Protocol. The
software program communicates via a serial communication port and a FoxCom or HART modem
with various microprocessor-based field devices.
The features and benefits of this configurator software are included in the Bulletin
E39-1 and PSS 2A-1Z3E that are imbedded with the Demo program

To see all of the features and benefits of the program requires a live
Intelligent field device and a HART or FoxCom modem. But many of the features can be
viewed without a live transmitter. All of the functions that need a live field device will
be "grayed" out and not selectable if a field device is not connected to the
program thru the modem.
This demo program can be used up to 10 times. After that, the program will not work.

The PC20 Configurator is designed to run from a Windows-compatible PC (Pentium with 16
MB RAM or 100 MHz 486 DX4 with 12 MB RAM or better computer) with Windows NT or Windows 95
with a serial communication port.
The program cannot be used with Windows 3.1 or Windows CE operating system.
If other applications installed in the system set non-standard serial drivers, the PC20
serial drivers may not work or may cause conflicts.
Windows 98 is not a Foxboro approved corporate software operating system. However, Foxboro does not expect any
problems using PC20 with Windows 98.

and follow the installation instructions.
