MT228/TV228 - the double for your Ex application

FOXBORO ECKARDT offers a new series of intrinsically-safe devices [EEx ia] for the supply of two-wire transmitters and positioners in hazardous areas. This series supplies communicable as well as conventional field devices. Communication signals are transmitted, independent of the direction of the measuring signal, from the safe side to the hazardous area and vice versa. Maintenance work requiring communication with the field devices, can now be done from the safe side e.g. by using the front plugs – without affecting any EX value. Besides galvanic separation between all circuits, the devices offer a number of further technical features which ease the daily work routine. The devices fulfill current CE laws and NAMUR recommendations.

All devices are available as single channel versions in housings for rail mounting with terminal screws, optionally with spring terminals. In addition, these devices are available as single and double channel versions for 19" rack mounting.
