Diaphragm seals are used if the physical and chemical parameters of the
process medium do not permit direct mounting of the transmitter at the measuring point.
These are, for example, aggressive, hot, high viscosity, crystallizing process media or
such containing solids. Pressure seals are attached to the pressure,
absolute or differential pressure transmitters at the input side. They
may be connected directly to the transmitter or via capillary
lines. Transmission of the pressure is effected hydraulically from
the diaphragm seal and the separating diaphragms of the pressure
seal to the measuring diaphragm of the transmitter. |
